Our first Biology Club field trip was to Boyd Deep Canyon in the Mojave Desert. Six brave students joined us on our maiden trip and we were put to the test. We cooked carne asada fajitas in 50 mph winds and ate sandy tacos in the van. Tim managed to get the van stuck, too. Professor Sherry Schmidt join our group as we caught lizards and explored the Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve.
